Obama’s Presidency: Probably The Worst In U.S. History

I vividly recall stating to friends and colleagues in the summer of 2008 that W was the worst President in history.  At that point I was welcoming the idea of Obama:  a guy who seemed completely detached from Washington’s inside mafia and Wall Street’s never-arraigned felons.   I was ecstatic over his promise to clean up the fraud and corruption that had been engulfing Wall Street and Capitol Hill over the past couple of Presidents.

About a year into his first term, I had Obama figured out.   His campaign slogans were empty billows of mendacious smoke billowing from his mouth.  He has not followed through on one plank in his campaign platform.   The only people who can’t see it are his slavishly blind devotees, many of whom are afraid to say anything negative about a black man out of fear of being labelled a racist.  It was brilliant exercise in psychology by the insiders who selected Obama over Hillary in 2008.   At that point I told friends and colleagues that Obama will possibly go down as the worst President in history.

Part of the catalyst was the high expectations for which we were set up.   He seemed like he really wanted to make a difference.  A close friend argued with me the other day that it’s not Obama’s fault – that Congress has prevented Obama from fulfilling his promises. But that is thoroughly untrue.   Obama has actively employed the act of Executive Order routinely and systematically to override Congress, as a threat to override Congress and as a device to circumvent the Constitution.  This is the very same act of Executive Order he promised to eliminate from the Oval Office tool chest.   Everyone remember him making that promise?  Because I recall it distinctly

The author of Washington’s Blog wrote a must-read commentary which details why Obama’s Presidency has been a complete failure – possibly the greatest failed Presidency in history:   “Bush was a horrible president. At the time, I thought he was the worst president in American history…”

…But Obama has made a lot of firsts himself:

  • Prosecuted fewer financial crimes than President Reagan, Clinton or either of the Bush presidents. (As bad as the Bush administration was, they at least prosecuted the heads of Enron, Worldcom and some other white collar crooks. In contrast, Obama hasn’t prosecuted even one high-level Wall Street executive.)
  • Is the most secretive president ever
  • Is more hostile to the press than any president in history
  • Claims the power to strip Americans’ liberty in a way that no other president has ever tried to claim … and that even King George of England didn’t claim. Indeed, Obama has rolled back some of our liberties to the time of the enactment of the Magna Carta in 1215.

That’s a partial list.  I highly recommend reading the rest of the article:   Washington’s Blog.

Now Obamacare, doomed from the beginning, is collapsing as big insurance companies successively drop out of the Obamacare network and the quality of healthcare in this country continues to deteriorate.  I can’t wait to see what happens to retail sales when the next round of health insurance premiums hits the system shortly before the November election…

  1. Dave another excellent article, except the title should read not “Probably” but “Absolutely” as “W’s” was prior to this despot.

  2. Back in summer of 1974, my Father – who was a Republican for good reasons in his youth in the 1950s, but then became a Democrat in 1960 because he despised Nixon – well, at our dinner table in summer 1974, my Father (a teacher of American History) said:

“The Republicans should have gone out like the Whigs!” (The American Whig Party which self-destructed from its corruption in the 1850s.)

Back in 1974, my very conservative, American patriot Father (a combat veteran of WW II), regarded the Republican Party as only slightly less evil than the Communists.

In light of which, now, I imagine if my Father (combat veteran of the Eighth US Army Air Corps, against Nazi Germany’s Luftwaffe, 1944-45 – oh and by the way my Dad respected his German enemies in honourable combat!), were alive today, my Father’s reaction to the bloody cowardly catamite Barack Hussein Obama, would be something like this:

  3. There are necessary evils in the script. We are going thru a massive adjustment period. The economy is a real-time event and unless a currency system can properly reflect that, there is dis-functionality present until such time that it’s resolved. The solutions are highly predicated on the ability to create them and implement them. Those abilities are fairly recent.

  4. That fraud Martin Armstrong arrogantly says a market crash is impossible. As if he can predict the future. Fuck that newsletter peddling “forecaster”.

90%+ cash and some in physical silver. If the market breaks to new highs, I’ll go long like everyone else, if this is indeed 1994.

I truly hope deflation crucifies the fraudulent SPX and these newsletter con men though.

    1. Mike,

What does your petty little, whiny rant about Armstrong have to do with what was written above about our worst president ever, Barry Obama???

  5. Oh I think the deep state knew they had their man in O’Bummer, and wanted him back for more unfettered raiding of wealth from the middle class and productive citizens…and no push back on the furthering of their police state.

They don’t care Repub or Dem, regardless or how much an ideologue, as long as they profit, are not prosecuted for breaking the laws.

  6. The increases will be postponed till after jan 2017….and as a side note…we need to know the names of the traders that keep stealing our hard earned money via the trashing of the PM’s..4-10% today alone…Names for retribution…to the evil doers….imho

  7. But, but….Wouldn’t you support MonsantObama’s World War III Project on Kickstarter?

    Because MonsantObama!!!

  8. Its interesting that this topic come up, because i was just about this a few days ago.
I was thinking, just how poor a performance Obama has given the American people.
But then, i see him give another one of he’s polished speeches, and think this guy is mesmerizing.
And i have just come to the realization, that this is all Obama has got, and that he is a
polished orator, and thats all he has got, and behind the facade, he is totally useless as a president.
Not only Obama, but he’s appointees are useless too, such as Eric Holder, Timothy Geithner, just
    to name two.
But as an objective Australian looking at your country, i would have to say George W Bush is the worst US
    President, by a long way!
Not only was the man a simpleton, and a fool, he was dangerous too!
Remember all those crazy Neo-cons he employed?
And of course, his legacy is the Iraq war, the greatest foreign policy blunder of any US president!

    1. Was useless the wave that was selected for the sake of the electorate waking to the notion that it’s time help ourselves ?

  9. Ok , someone dumps 60 million shares on the Dow 10 minutes before lunch on a wednesday morning & the market falls .2 of 1% for the day…..yep that is a rational market roflmao…is there creaking floorboards or is it just me?

  10. I originally supported Obama believing he meant to do what he said. Audacity of hope and all that.

He has turned out to be a total fraud, kowtowing to his masters. What better proof than his choices for Attorney General. E. Holder, who made excuses for not prosecuting too big to fail banking criminals, and L. Lynch who was the queen of civil asset forfeiture in NY, setting her sites on FIFA corruption and ignoring high level corruption right here at home.

Seems no one in government bothers to read the Constitution they swear to uphold anymore.

  11. Obama is worse than Bush because much was expected of him and he turned out to be a total dud. As another poster said, he is skilled in smooth talk and nothing else.

  12. Dave:

Love your posts – a voice of reason in the wilderness.

I want to preface a comment by saying: I never have been supportive of Bushies. Ever. I got there fairly early on with the elder’s “Thousand Points of Light” b.s. and unedited speak out on the New World Order. Those two points really brought out who the Bushies are / were and I hated the idea of their globalist objective – it was more billowing smoke for change – the kind I detest.

But…….you said this: “About a year into his first term, I had Obama figured out. His campaign slogans were empty billows of mendacious smoke billowing from his mouth.”

I agree with your assesment but a bit late to the party for those of us who reside in this cess pool of corruption called Chicago.

My comment is simply – you have to live in the democrat utopian paradise called Chicago to understand at its depth why Obama is not so much a failure as he is an aparatchik for the PTB cesspool of Chicago politik and corruption. To them – he is nothing but utter success as he dismantles the very thing they thumb their nose at – the Constitution – they hate it to the core. Ch*tcago has had a long history of rebel causes going all the way back to the rise of the unions, think Haymarket riots.
Those of us here saw this guy in his community organizing days and I started to take notice 20 years ago when he was in the state house here – a completely ball less and feckless toady for the dem establishment. In his rise he risked NOTHING as exhibited by his voting record and all those votes “present”. The PTB that bred this guy in a petrie dish came to understand how to dismantle a system – hide, repress and deny and then once the chips are cast and in power – then expose the reality of things to come and simply overwhelm it so it collapses under its own weight.
Frankly, I blame the repukes here in Illannoy who did not do their job and allowed Obama to be foisted on America. I hold them completely at fault for their fecklessness in exposing this guy for who he really is.

So…..all of those in Murika who were duped by this guy – thanks alot for not listening to those of us here in ILLANNOY who tried to raise the warning flag but were shouted down and worse in order to allow this dope to occupy the WH. I warned many of my buddies in say places like CA that you vote for this guy – you will be awarded with the foul smell of Chicago politics and it ain’t pretty.

For those of us who love liberty and small gubmit – yep he is an utter failure – for those who are part of the FSA and hate liberty and the Constitutional system we have come to expect – he is a resounding success.
