Warren Buffet Is The Definition Of “Scumbag”

“There’s class warfare, all right,” Mr. Buffett said, “but it’s my class, the rich class, that’s making war, and we’re winning.”Warren Buffet, NY Times 11/26/2006

The “aura” of Warren Buffet is nothing more than the epitome of Orwellian propaganda.  Nothing is but what is not.  What Buffet “is not” is a good-ole rags to riches boy who has fulfilled the American dream.   Warren Buffet is the quintessential mascot of American hypocrisy, criminality and political corruption.

“A country that is now aspiring to an ‘Ownership Society’ will not find happiness in – and I’ll use hyperbole here for emphasis – a ‘Sharecropper’s Society.’ But that’s precisely where our trade policies, supported by Republicans and Democrats alike, are taking us.”  – Warren Buffet, 2005

Of course, Warren Buffet is one of the biggest beneficiaries of the U.S. trade policies.  I haven’t seen him lift a finger toward implementing reform…

I remember in the mid-90’s when I was working on Wall Street and was “pro” anything that could generate a profitable trade, including Greenspan’s money printing.  But I always cast a weary, suspicious eye on Warren Buffet.   I had read an article back then which detailed the myth vs. reality about Warren Buffet.

For instance, remember the auro of his “everyday man, wrinkled “sack” suits?”  It turns out that his suits were carefully tailored in Italy to cultivate that look and cost thousands of dollars.  How about the myth that he lived with his wife in the same small brick house in Nebraska that he started out in with her?  Total fabrication.  As it turned out, that house had been empty for years – although still owned by him – and Buffet had been mistress-jumping for years.  He also owns expensive homes in lesser-known hideaway places for the ultra-wealthy like Sun Valley and Sante Fe and other places all over the world.

Anyone/Everyone remember his “special” relationship with CNBC’s Becky Quick?  It was so obvious he was sleeping with her that CNBC never tried to deny it by planting disinformation in the alternative media world.

Warren Buffet is the “poster child” for hypocrisy and corruption in this country.  Remember when he made his “derivatives are financial nuclear weapons of mass destruction”  comment? (LINK)  As it turns out, Berkshire Hathaway’s insurance subsidiaries were and are among the largest users and beneficiaries of derivatives in the world.

How about when Buffet made the assertion that the wealthy should pay more in taxes and then it turns out the Buffet himself was paying a lower tax rate than his secretary?

This list is endless.  It has been said that Buffet has a direct line to the Oval Office. I have no reason to dismiss this.  Buffet is the kind of guy who would steal money from a homeless man and use it to get a shoe shine.

It did not surprise me that someone like Dan Loeb had enough backbone to issue harsh criticism of Buffet and Buffet’s overt hypocrisy:

I love reading Warren Buffett’s letters and I love contrasting his words with his actions…I love how he criticizes hedge funds, yet he had the first hedge fund,” Mr. Loeb said. “He criticizes activists, he was the first activist. He criticizes financial services companies, yet he loves to invest in them. He thinks that we should all pay taxes, yet he avoids them himself.  – Business Insider LINK

Warren Buffet is emblematic of everything that is wrong with our system.  The real Buffet is a cold-blooded greedy son of a bitch who would probably sell his kids for a chance to make money on a business deal.  Speaking of kids, the myth circulating in the 1990’s was that Buffet was going to put his wealth in a charitable trust and not leave most of it to his kids when he died.  Anyone hear any updates about the fraudulent story?

It’s ironic that Warren Buffet’s father, Howard Buffet, was a wealthy businessman and Congressman who was an ardent advocate of the gold standard.  In fact, that dispels another myth:  Warren was not a rags to riches investor.  He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth making money the Graham-Dodd way – he’s an inside elitist who uses his well-oiled political control to scheme  legislation that let’s him squeeze every last penny out of this country and trade on inside information…

  1. Lets not forget that both Buffet and Munger both deride precious metals.
I herd a rumor that back in 2000 Buffet backed up the truck and loaded
    it with silver.

  2. Hear, hear. I started questioning Buffy in the late nineties after reading his MSM editorials espousing higher taxes. He’s just another mythical PTB creation playing his designated role in the big system. Once a man gets beyond his inclination to not question conventional “wisdom” you’d be surprised how far down the stinking rabbit hole it will take you. Most people can’t take the stench and turn back. Kudos for keepin on.

  3. Dave –
There was indeed a segment and I think it was in of all places on 60 mins a while back about his grand daughter who lives in NYC – she is given nothing from Buffet and she doesn’t seem the less – It was a segment around 2 + years ago – I found it fascinating and frankly his grand daughter seemed to be much relieved not being enslaved to Buffet’s fiefdom.

  4. You ever get the feeling we’ve been lied too, hood winked, and had ? Maybe we are in the matrix and this is all Kabuki theatre.

  5. Buffett’s “aw shucks” persona–and the media that stages it so well–diverts the public’s attention from a breathtaking record of insider sleaze.

Just off the top of my head…

Buffett invested heavily in Goldman before taking to the airwaves with yarns about how Armageddon would befall the earth without the TARP bailout.

As the biggest shareholder in Moody’s, he dumped his holdings the same month the company got a Wells notice that it concealed for months. The S.E.C. under Obama, to whom Buffett contributed massively, never even investigated.

He invested heavily in Wells Fargo before the Treasury’s PPIP–a plan crafted by Buffett and delivered privately to Hank Paulson–directly benefited Wells.

He absurdly claims that banks paid back TARP when in fact both Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs remain to this day–as the direct consequence of TARP–bank holding companies whose nearly $100 trillion in derivatives exposure subjects some $10 trillion in retail bank deposits to risk. Apparently Uncle Warren is cool with “weapons of mass destruction” so long as they’re pointed at Main Street’s head.

Buffett should be publicly pilloried and lashed into repentance, not idolized. He’s truly disgusting.

    1. Buffet has done countless investment and tax evasion activities that run completely counter to his, as you say, “aw shucks” Orwellian-created public persona. I’m not even really sure he tries to hide it anymore.

  6. Warren still has his loyal army of sycophants, who think he is the best thing to come along since bread and butter! You can see them fawning all over him at the annual Berks/Hath shareholders meeting. Quite a sickening sight.

They give him their wealth and do not realize that he takes it with a smirk, most likely thinking along Barnum & Bailey’s line of “there’s a loser born every minute”! Both Warren and Charlie are the end products of a system that has experienced it’s “past due date”! The sooner this stinking, decaying, cadaver is buried, the sooner we get on with rebuilding a more equitable system for all.

    1. Yep. Big wealth has 536 ass-kissing human dish rags on Capitol Hill: 435 House Reps, 100 Senators and 1 dirty dish rag in the Oval Office

  7. The fact that this cherry coke and turd sandwich gets all palsey walsey with GMO Bill Gates is enough to tell he is full of crap. I still laugh at how Buffet ‘gave’ most of his fortune to the BM Gates Foundation. Being mortal he probably figured that the red headed stepchild of Emperor Palpatine will continue his good works. Vaccinating kids with poison, promoting GMO foods world wide, making sure we get a 90% population democide die off and full implementation of Agency 21 will be his continuing legacy.
    But I digress
PS Dave Doc over on Silver Doctors put up a long post I wrote in corrolary and response to your podcast Satruday before last with Doc and Eric. That was one of the best I’ve heard in a long time.

  8. “The “aura” of Warren Buffet is nothing more than the epitome of Orwellian propaganda. ”

Thank you for writing this. I would read the headlines of countless “analytical” pieces which would debate the pearls of wisdom dispensed by M. Buffet and would often wonder why no one would ask the simple question – “Did he become wealthy by giving out free investment advice?”

Thanks to all the other commenters for pointing out what a sad failure of a human being that this entity really is.

Thanks admin for the great work.

  9. a) he wants the estate tax since one of his companies sells life insurance

    2) at he end of 2007 he sold 36 billion notational value of index puts in an private derivative deal. Lost his shirt in late 2008. Since private they expire I think in 2020. So I trust he bought outs to offset the short position and lock in profits. assuming the offset insurance works and can payoff.
offset is not a perfect offset so we will never know what the real exposure to derivatives we have.

lessons learned; do not trust anybody.

      1. I am not. I am a socialist liberal. Buffet disgusts me. He is pure evil, as is Gates, who is destroying public education worldwide. Read my full post below.

  10. I fully agree. Great piece, and with ingo ne to me. Thanks.

What Buffet (a faux-progressive) did in Nevada to the solar industry reeks of bribery and other crimes. He took ordinary folks – many who invested large chunks of their retirement in solar to save money over decades while making the world much better – and destroyed their financial futures, even punished them, so he and Berkshire-Hathaway could get a little more wealthy.

It is bad enough what he did to good people in Nevada, but what he did also sent a chill all around the world in solar. Selling solar in Massachusetts, I witnessed an immediate, severe drop in solar adoption after Nevada passed those new net-metering laws for Buffet that punished solar system owners. Keep in mind, grid companies benefitted from rooftop solar because they could sell the power to businesses at daytime peak demand prices without having to fire up more boilers, then give back cheaper nighttime power to solar system owners at a reduced cost to the grid company. It was a symbiotic relationship. Solar was not costing them money. It was saving them money.

Under the new net-metering laws in Nevada, the grid companies get to have their cake and eat it, too. And eat the cake of the solar system owners.

However, solar chugged along and is now the cheapest form of energy production in the world (Bloomberg News).

So how is Buffet and his like in the fossil fuel and grid industries battling it now? By persuading pols in solar states to restructure their solar/renewable energy incentives to require that system owners must sell their power to grid companies in order to collect state incentives. This is called a “feed-in tariff” incentive system, introduced in Rhode Island in 2015, and now infecting Massachusetts in 2018. It kills solar, because any fine acvountant can demonstrate that the ROI is delayed for approximatel 18 years, compared to the MAssachusetts SREC system that provided an ROI in under five years.

I.e., he/they are trying to kill the coming battery revolution that will make the grid obsolete within a few more years. And as both solar systems and home battery systems plummet in price and skyrocket in ROI, we can expect he and his ilk to push through more state laws that make disconnection from power grids illegal. For example, they have already succeeded in places like Florida, where a consumer’s only solar option is to get community solar delivered via grid companies. Yes, rooftop solar is illegal in Florida!

Full disclosure, I now work in community solar, but only because I have taken a huge financial beating in rooftop solar as Buffet and his type have thrown one dirty sucker punch after another, including disinformation campaigns in national and local news media aimed at the solar industry, to great effect.

For those keeping score, 80,000 Americans die each year by air pollution just from fossil fuel energy production. Not cars. Not factories. Power plants, – like the ones Buffet controls.
Thus, Buffet is literally killing thousands of Americans each year with his power plant pollution, and is fighting to kill even more, all for the love of money and Forbes rank.

I am not religious, but I would like to think I am wrong, and that Hell has a VIP reservation awaiting Buffet’s fast-approaching expiration. Few people have done more harm in the world over the past 40 years, IMO.

  11. Be prepared, his deeds that have done in secret will be shouted from the rooftops. He is the worst type of person. He acts like an angel of light but he is full of deception. He will not go easy, but some greater than us will execute Justice.
